Join us for a hands-on workshop with Zoë Burt where you’ll learn how to create beautiful dyes using natural ingredients!
Learn the art of creating beautiful dyes using natural materials. Zoë will guide you through an exploration of dye colours from plants, learn which part of plants yield colour and which ones have been used for colouring textiles for millennia. Discover which plants from your locality may be used for dyeing and utilise plants from our community garden. Learn about the invention of synthesized dyes and how that impacted history.
Weather permitting the workshop will take place outdoors. All proceeds from the workshop goes back into the running of the community garden and we thank you for your support.
There are two sessions at 10.30am and 1.30pm, both lasting two hours, and tickets are £30 or £25 for students, over 60s, unwaged and low wages. Book your place now!
